The History of Our Canadian Junior High & High School Programs

Our middle and high school study programs began in Atlantic Canada in 1998 with the Nova Scotia International Students Program (NSISP) thanks to the combined efforts of the Board of Education, the Government of Nova Scotia and six regional school districts in the Province. Nova Scotia is one of Canada's most scenic oceanside provinces, and home to many world-class educational institutions.

Following this, other Canadian study abroad programs joined us, including the program of Newfoundland (NISEP) based in the eastern region of that rugged Province, the Miramichi District of New Brunswick, and the program of the Limestone District School Board in the city of Kingston, Ontario.

Our programs become more numerous and specialized each year, with more international students studying abroad with us - thanks to our growing reputation and the great educational experiences other students have enjoyed.

Alberta is located in Western Canada, bounded by the provinces of British Columbia to the west and Saskatchewan to the east, Northwest Territories to the north, and by the U.S. state of Montana to the south.

Alberta's grandeur and beauty are obvious from the moment of arrival. Rolling foothills, intimidating mountains and prehistoric hoodoos are a few of Alberta's more distinct natural landmarks. Edmonton is the capital city of Alberta and is well known for its scenic river valley and a thriving music and art community.
